Booking, Riding and Cancellation Policy



RIDING POLICY

We require height, weight and riding experience for everyone intending to go horseback riding. We will use this information to select the best horse for you, and if it is a "match" - (that is, if both you and the horse are happy!) - that is generally your horse for the duration of your stay!

Please note that large or heavy people may not be able to ride, or may be limited to a walking ride only. Rancho Guadalupe Equestrian Riding Trails reserves the right to limit availability of horseback riding due to anything, which may in our judgment pose a threat to the safety of either rider or horse.

Note: All persons who intend to participate in horseback riding will be required to sign a waiver of liability.

We highly recommend using a riding helmet; it secures the head better than just a sombrero. We have helmets and sombreros at the stables – you can borrow one, whenever you want.

You should always wear shoes that are suitable for riding, sneakers or hiking shoes are not allowed – they are very dangerous because they can get stuck in the stirrups.

Your stay at Rancho Guadalupe Equestrian Riding Trails includes 3 to 6 hours daily trail riding in the wilderness.

INSURANCE

Rancho Guadalupe Equestrian Riding Trails does not provide any participant with insurance of any kind. We recommend you purchase your own trip insurance to cover any medical emergencies that may arise or for trip cancellation problems, you may incur.

PRIVACY STATEMENT

Rancho Guadalupe Equestrian Riding Trails respects the privacy of our customers. As a result, we pledge to never release your personal information to any outside agency.

BOOKINGS

A one night deposit is required at time of booking to secure your reservation. Final payment must be received 15 days prior to arrival date, and 40 days prior to arrival date for reservations during peak periods (Easter, Christmas and New Year).
Date changes are guaranteed, penalty-free, with 21 days advance notice and 45 days advance notice is required for reservation during peak periods (Easter, Christmas and New Year).
No refunds will be issued on unused portions of the package once booked.
All deposits and final payments are non-refundable.

CANCELLATION POLICY

Easter week, December 20, 2018 through January 04, 2019:

More than 45 days prior to the guest's arrival: Full Refund
From 44 to 31 days prior to the guest's arrival: 2 nights will be charged as a penalty fee
Within 30 day period or less prior to the guest's arrival: Full day penalty fee will be applied

 

January 05, 2019 through December 19, 2019:

More than 21 days prior to the guest's arrival:

Full Refund

From 20 to 15 days prior to the guest's arrival: 2 nights will be charged as a penalty fee
Within a 14 day period or less prior to the guest's arrival: Full stay penalty fee will be applied

 

No refund will be issue for NO-SHOWS

 

WINTER EARLY BOOKING BONUS PROMOTION 2018-2019: 10% OFF

Booking Window: until October 31, 2018

Travel Window: November 01, 2018 – April 30 2019

In the event of cancellation for EARLY BOOKING BONUS PROMOTION, we will issue a transferrable PROMOTIONAL CERTIFICATE for the full value of the prepayment, valid for 12 months from the date of the original booking.

PROMO CERTIFICATES are valid any time, except during peak periods (weekends and holiday season).

If we are able to sell the cancelled space, we will issue you a credit that can be used without restrictions.


PROMO CERTIFICATES and credit may not be applied to pre-existing bookings.
